Framework training

Framework has many training opportunities available for volunteers.

Some you need to do while if you where interested in a particular topic Framework run in person training sessions as well as providing online courses, available to staff and volunteers.

What support is available for our service users?

Digital skill sessions

We run digital skill sessions to support service users improve their skills and confidence. These are informal drop in sessions, no appointment required, which you can direct your service users to attend.

You can contact us to inform us they are attending, to tell us what skills they need support with but this is not required.

To find out more about the sessions and where they are hosted click below.

Online learning resources

There are many amazing online resources to help you improve your digital skills.

We use these in our support sessions and you can access them and practice them at home.

Accessing internet enabled devices in services

Our aim is to make the internet accessible for every Framework service user.

All of our hostels should have kiosks for you to use and if you are in dispersed accommodation we have other solution to help you get online.

Follow the link below for more information.

Connectivity for service users

To access the internet you need connectivity. This can be through WI-FI, broadband or through the phone network.

We can support you to find the best solution so you can access the internet as quickly and as cheaply as possible.

We have limited free data sims for the most vulnerable service users and we can support you to get a social tariff for mobile or your home. (Social tariffs are reduced cost broadband or sims contracts that also can have much shorter contract lengths).
Use the connectivity guide below to learn more.

Gifted and loaned devices for service users

We have a limited number of laptops, phones and tablets which we can allocated directly to service users.

Unfortunately, we need to prioritise their distribution to service users who they will have the maximum impact on.

We aim to support service users who both have low digital skills and who lack devices.

If you have low digital skills and no device you can contact us to request a device. We will then contact your support worker to discuss how we can support you.
